“IMAGE”, a Centre of Entrepreneurship(CoE) is a start-up accelerator for Gaming, Animation, VFX, Computer Vision, and AI start-ups and is a flagship initiative by STPI-Hyderabad, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India and Government of Telangana, in Collaboration with TVAGA, HYSEA, IIIT Hyderabad, TIE Hyderabad, Hyderabad Angels, and the SucSEED Innovation Fund.
Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) aims to empower the citizens and promote the sustainable growth of electronics. They support the growth of businesses in the IT & ITeS industries, enhancing India's role in Internet Governance. Their multipronged approach towards growth of the Electronics and Information Technology Industry includes promoting R&D, human resources development, innovating new ideas, and enhancing efficiency through digital services.
Software Technology Parks of India
Software Technology Parks of India is an autonomous society that was set up by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in 1991. The objective was to encourage, boost, and promote the software exports from India. They maintain internal engineering resources to deliver and implement training and consulting services. They support services such as System Integration, Network Design, Installation, Operations, and maintenance of networks and other areas.
Telangana VFX, Animation and Gaming
TVAGA is a platform of Media and Entertainment Non-Profit Industry in Telangana. TVAGA has been collaborating with the Government of Telangana with the objective of supporting the Gaming, Visual Effects,and Animation Industries. TVAGA is one of the consultative committee members that helps to facilitate the incentives of IMAGE’s policies that are being announced by the Govt. of Telangana. TVAGA plays the role of coordinator between the Government and the stakeholders. It supports and promotes the industries with the help of advisors, technicians, educators, supervisors, studio executives, PR/marketing producers, specialists, and entrepreneurs for the welfare and integrity of industries.
IIIT-HYDERABAD
International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad is an autonomous university. The university had a not-for-profit public-private partnership in 1998 and is one of the best IIIT in India. These institutes have resolved the strong research programs in multiple areas. They work in various fields of technology and applied research for multiple industries. This institute facilitates interdisciplinary research with the seamless flow of knowledge. There are several world-renowned centers of excellence that are becoming a part of IIITH's research portfolio. They are working in collaboration with co-innovation models and various joint collaborations with an industry outreach.
Hyderabad Angels
Hyderabad Angels is becoming India's premier platform that helps to connect the new generation of entrepreneurs and established angel investors for developing innovative business ideas. The platform was established in 2012 with the aim of nurturing aspiring entrepreneurs. The platform invests on promising start-up's growth globally to create tangible and intangible value.
Government Of Telangana
The main objective of Telangana State Information Technology (IT&C) is to enhance and support the new ideas of Information Technology (IT). They support and act as a promoter in the field of Information Technology. The platform builds an IT-driven continuum of Government services so that they can promote Telangana and Hyderabad as the most favored destination. They make an investment in Visual Effects, Animation, and Comics, and the Gaming industry.
STPINEXT INITIATIVES
STPINEXT INITIATIVES” is a section 8 company and special purpose vehicle is incorporated by STPI to act as the nodal agency and common implementation vehicle for various startup and entrepreneurship activities at STPI. STPINEXT INITIATIVES, in partnership with Atal Innovation Mission of NITI Aayog has setup Atal Incubation Centre in STPI Bengaluru (AIC STPINEXT Bengaluru) and is supporting all STPI CoEs in various emerging technologies being established in collaborative model pan India. STPINEXT Initiatives is striving to build vibrant pan-India tech start-up eco-system powered by Mentors and Partners across the technology and sectors.
HYSEA
Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (HYSEA) is a registered apex body that has more than 300 members. The platform represents the Hyderabad software industry under the Public Societies Registration Act. The platform is responsible for IT, Domestic & Export Oriented units, ITES, and Software Products Industry in the state. HYSEA plays a major role in the activities that have an impact on the Software Industry in Hyderabad. The major role of this organization is to interact with the Government and compete in the global market. HYSEA also helps to formulate industry-friendly policies that offer incentives, concessions, and support for foreign investors. They promote and encourage the member companies by rewarding and recognizing high-impact companies.
SucSEED
SucSEED is sponsoring and managing the events of M/s. SucSEED Indovation Fund ("Fund") and is a VC-Angel fund registered with the Securities and Exchange Board of India ("SEBI"). It is regulated under SEBI. This platform was founded by senior industry leaders and professionals with an objective to support and nurture upcoming deep-tech startups. Besides funding, SucSEED guides their portfolio companies through managing the business, raising capital, selling, and dealing with financial assets.
TiE Hyderabad
TiE Hyderabad is another renowned platform with over 170 chapter members and is among the top 5 chapters in India. The platform has 800 Associate Members who conduct 50 to 60 events a year across multiple topics. They offer six different SIGs regular events as well as TiE-ISB that promotes annual flagship events. They also have a partnership with other industries to promote innovation in the local ecosystem.
